The Eurolamp WRT’s duo expected that Saturday’s special stages would be the hardest part of the Rally Mexico. Unfortunately the crew was right.

On Saturday Valery Gorban and Vladimir Korsia faced troubles which ruined their race. During the first Saturday’s special stage the crew had to drive with opened bonnet. After that there were problems with overheating brakes. Long list of the troubles painted in damage of front driveshaft. The final point of the nightmare day was an accident on SS15 when MINI John Cooper Works S2000 got into a ditch. Fortunately neither the crew nor the spectators were unhurt but the car was badly damaged.
